Why Cortex

Why work with a procurement partner instead of a single factory?

Sourcing packaging overseas usually means choosing between a factory you can't verify and an agency that marks up everything it touches. Cortex is the third option: one point of contact, competing quotes from vetted manufacturers, and inspection before your order ships.

Choose the Payment Structure That Fits

About Cortex

A Procurement Partner, Not Just a Manufacturer

Cortex helps international brands source and manage packaging production through trusted manufacturing partners across Asia. We bridge the gap between buyers and manufacturers by coordinating sourcing, production, quality control and logistics — from specification to delivery.

We started Cortex because too many good brands were stuck choosing between the risk of dealing with an overseas factory directly, or the markup of a large agency that treats every project like paperwork. We wanted to be the option in between — close enough to the ground to catch problems early, small enough to actually pick up the phone.

FAQ

Common Questions

Do you manufacture the packaging yourselves?

No, we don't operate our own factory. Cortex is a procurement and project-management partner — we work with a network of vetted manufacturing partners and manage that relationship on your behalf, from the first quote through to delivery.

Where do you source from?

Our primary manufacturing base is Vietnam, and we are actively expanding our network of vetted partners across Asia to support a wider range of materials and production capabilities.

Can I pay the manufacturer directly?

Yes. Under our Direct to Manufacturer option, you pay the factory directly and maintain that financial relationship, while Cortex charges a separate fee for sourcing and project management.

Can Cortex manage the entire procurement process?

Yes. Our Cortex Managed Procurement option covers sourcing, production oversight, quality control, and logistics under a single agreement, so you have one point of contact for the whole project.

What are your minimum order quantities?

Minimum order quantities depend on the product, material, and manufacturing partner involved. Send us your specifications and we will confirm an accurate MOQ for your specific project.

Can you arrange samples?

Yes. Sampling and prototyping are a standard part of our process, and every project is reviewed and approved at the sample stage before we move into bulk production.

Do you provide quality inspections?

Yes. Quality control is built into every stage of the process, from an initial specification review through in-production checks to a final inspection before your order ships.

Can you arrange shipping?

Yes. Logistics coordination — including selecting the right shipping method, managing Incoterms, and preparing documentation — is part of what we handle on your behalf.

What information do I need to request a quote?

To get started, we typically need your product dimensions, material preferences, printing and finishing requirements, order quantity, target timeline, and delivery destination. Artwork is helpful but not required for an initial quote.

How does the quotation process work?

You submit your specifications through our request form, and we source options from our manufacturing network on your behalf. You will then receive a formal quotation outlining pricing, lead time, and terms, which we finalize together before any samples are produced.
